Sisters..

So, Courltyn has been quite funny with Mallory lately. At first, she was not too sure how she felt about her being around, but now, she has taken her as her own! I really think Courtlyn believes that Mallory is her baby. She wants to hold her ALL the time, and when it is time to take her back, Courltyn holds on to that baby for dear life. She wraps both of her arms around her and tries her hardest not to let go. Of course, we dont let her do anything that would harm Mallory, but it is so funny to see her try to keep Mallory all to herself. You should see her try to say Mallory's name...it is pretty funny! She has taken the big sister role very seriously! She tries to help with her bottles, changing her diaper and making sure the swing is swinging at the right pace (something we have to watch for very carefully, Courtlyn is capable of pushing that baby swing pretty hard when she wants to!!!) I remember how much fun it was for me to watch Haylee care for Grace, I am still in awe of how much Haylee looks out for Grace...and quite frankly what she puts up with from her!! It is just as fun to watch these two girls together. They are actually closer in age, so I imagine they will have fun playing together as they get older. Our poor RJ is stuck right in the middle of these girls, but he seems to handle his own with every one of them. He is rough and tumble with the big girls, but sweet and gentle when it comes to Mallory. He is really growing up on me. He has become quite the helper around here..he offers to help with anything and everything he can think of. It is great to see each child adapt to a new little one in the house, and to see how they have reacted! I know 5 kids is crazy busy, there is lots of refereeing going on, but I love seeing those moments when the stars align and they are having a great time together. I sure do love being a mom..it is tough tough work, but lots of fun too!!
